Maggie O'Daniel

Director of Global Health

Maggie is a post-bacc student at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She is from Eastern North Carolina and completed her undergraduate degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. During her time at UNC-CH, Maggie traveled to Northern Uganda with a student organization to conduct field research about the effectiveness of the Laro Kwo Project.

After finishing undergrad, Maggie taught elementary and middle school for three years. Maggie reconnected with MGY during her time as a teacher as a way to nurture her passion for public health. Traveling to Peru with MGY in 2022 inspired her to go back to school to pursue a career in healthcare. Maggie currently works primarily with MGY's Uganda team and fundraising team. She is excited to see the programs continue to expand their reach in an effort to create more health equity.
